Outstanding.

Every once in a while I come across something that really catched my eye or sticks with me. I would say the last thing that did that for me was 'Babel' -- at least before this.

While a short animation may not carry the length of a feature film, it in no way loses any of its impact as a result. This is a beautiful animation, beautifully told and beautifully executed. I do not understand people's complaints -- I am an artist myself (traditional artist), and it's always easy for people to assume the role of 'critic' and point out the smallest detail. While they are, in a sense, helping you become a better artist, one must assume the role of 'artist' as well and understand what went into creating the work. It is hard work, people, and I guarantee 99% of you cannot make something as REMOTELY profound or well executed.

The drawings ('graphics') were excellent, with a smooth and clean look. There is no shame in using motion tween, it does not detract from the work in the least. The sound is amazing as well, and fits well. My only complaint about it is that there could be a slightly larger mix of music, but the three tracks chosen were spot-on, nonetheless. The voice acting was crisp and well done. The music really elucidated what the woman was feeling. The 'hand-held' camera also added amazingly well to the mix, creating a relaxed and personal insight into this world that you created. Violence, humor, and interactivity are self-explanatory.

Overall, a great piece of work, a great flash animation, and a great story. This has definitely stuck with me, and is my "favorite" flash as of right now :)

Keep up the good work, and don't get discouraged by the few 'critics' out there ;)

Made me feel good :)

You know, it's good to settle down and watch something like this on Newgrounds. So often do I find myself sifting through garbage and crude humor -- I mean it's funny to a certain degree, but it just bores you after a while.

Something like this, on the other hand, helps you settle down and simply relax: the calm and soft music perfectly complemented the animation, and although it could've been a bit better quality, I understand the constraints of file size, etc. The visuals were clean and expressive, I liked the integration of motion blur and focus. This shows that while it utilizes the modern Flash techniques, it does not detract from the artist's style, and retains that light and cheerful nature.

I can relate to this (not exactly, of course), and it always brightens your day to find out that this kind of thing happens all over the world, whether it be Europe (where I suspect this happened), or Asia. It's simply a nice reminder of what relationships and people have to offer.

Not to ramble on, good job on your animation. Winning the contest does not matter -- you put time and effort into this, and it is appreciated, at least by me. Continue making these sort of things, or anything for that matter -- I can tell you're a talented fellow. Just realize that you've probably made a couple people's days just that much better :)

Very interesting.

I love learning about space, time, and the theory of relativity. This is a good "in a nutshell" explanation of Einstein's theory, and hopefully it'll spark someone else's interest in the subject as well.

I think that making a "next" and "back" button would be more appropriate, it would allow people to move back and forth at their own leisure and allow them to learn at their own pace. I think that the time intervals were pretty good between each paragraph, but it does rush things in a way.

Apart from that minor gripe, good job :)

Had fun before I got stuck...

I did everything up until I got the lighter -- then I didn't know what to do. So I head over to your site and read the walkthrough -- what tool shed? Am I missing something here?

The Epitomy of Interactivity

Interactivity not only thrives, but is the core of this game. While it may seem interactivity is the core of _every_ game, this display of how it can be done is "fresh" in the Flash world.

The thing I like about this is that the "engine" this game is based on is very old, as stated it is maybe an "update" or maybe even a spin-off of what games like Dragon's Lair and others brought to gamers more than a decade ago. But by adding a stylistic flair of simplicity entwined with a new design, you have truly created an interactive movie. I didn't even know the game had started when he landed in the water!

Who knew that not having on-screen HUD's was so good...

A good game to kill some time.

I've been playing this game for a couple of hours, nothing better to do!

The game is good, it has good interactivity but it leaves you wanting more. Well this is a good and bad thing, because you would like to have more control over your base, you would like to build it the way you wanted, and you would like to build it to cover a huge amount of land.

Apart from that, it gives you a sense of satisfaction when you finally complete your task, which is just to not even see the enemies onscreen anymore because they are killed too fast :D

My final tally:
3067 Tower Guards
300 Repair People
3 ComHub Employment
(air strike is useless and it's a waste of money to hire those guys :D)

Level 51! :D

Have fun and beat my tally.
